Michael Callanan proves that experience brings expertise. Prior to his joining Mosaic Learning, Michael served as the Executive Director to the Electrical Training ALLIANCE (formerly National Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee) for over ten years. He brings a great deal of industry experience and an extensive background in Code and Safety Standard development to Mosaic Learning, having served on the Federal Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship from 2007-2014, as Chairman of the Building and Construction Trades Department Standing Committee on Apprenticeship and Training for the AFL-CIO from 2004-2014, and serving the NFPA Board of Directors from 2006-2009. In addition Michael’s formal education includes completion of the Inside Wireman Apprenticeship Program with IBEW Local Union 98 and the Penn-Del-Jersey Chapter of NECA Joint Apprenticeship Program in Philadelphia, PA, a B.A. in Political Science from West Chester University, an M.A. in Political Science from Villanova University, an M.S. in Executive Leadership from Georgetown University, and presently, he is a Doctoral Candidate in the Executive Leadership Doctoral Program in Human and Organizational Learning at George Washington University in Washington D.C. Michael also conducts speaking engagements and presentations in addition to consulting with industry professionals and training centers on topics ranging from leadership development to change management, organizational culture, and adult learning.
