Product Owner

At Mosaic Learning, the Product Owner will be a critical member of our software development team. In this role you will help our clients define system requirements and then manage the design and development by a cross-functional team, bringing custom LMS and other custom software solutions to fruition on time, on budget and beyond the client’s expectations.


  • Leads one or more Scrum Teams
  • Defines Product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities
  • Provides vision and direction to the Development Team and Stakeholders throughout the project
  • Assesses value, develops uses cases, and prioritizes stories, epics and themes
  • Leads elicitation and business process analysis sessions with stakeholders
  • Assists in creating requirements by leveraging mockups and wireframes
  • Documents requirements in the form of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Plans and prioritizes the feature backlog based on goals, scope, and business needs to maximize value
  • Provides support for backlog management, grooming, iteration planning, and elaboration of user stories
  • Oversees the Development Team to maximize velocity against the Roadmap
  • Assists in project planning activities inclusive of effort estimation
  • Provides an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of releases/sprint goals
  • Keeps abreast with agile/scrum best practices and new trends
  • Anticipates Client Needs


  • Experience as a Product Owner between 3-4 years
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, or related field
  • Hands on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
  • In depth knowledge of Agile processes
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to advise on efficient design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in business process analysis, understand the customer business process requirements, and capable of translating those business requirements into business and technical documentation and specifications
  • Creative thinker
