PROJECT MANAGER (SOFTWARE)

At Mosaic Learning, the Project Manager will be a critical member of our software development team.  In this role you will help our clients define system requirements and then manage the design and development by a cross-functional team, bringing custom LMS and other custom software solutions to fruition on time, on budget and beyond the client’s expectations.

Role/Responsibility:

As Project Manager at Mosaic Learning you will have the follow areas of responsibility:

  • Software Project Management:
    • Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
    • Work directly with our clients to define requirements that fulfill their business needs
    • Act as liaison between customer and our technical teams to translate business requirements into functional requirements.
    • Develop and estimate project plans that balance the client’s needs with the available schedule and budget
    • Maintain project reports on project progress to milestones
    • Collaborate with directors of development teams in creating schedules, allocating team resources, and monitoring task efficiency
    • Work closely with Quality Assurance team to ensure product meets quality standards
    • Conduct profitability analysis and retrospective upon project completion
    • Analyze and compile billing reports
  • Relationship Management
    • Serve as lead point of contact for all matters specific to your assigned clients
    • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
    • Support all client inquiries, including new business, system support and training
    • Perform complex analysis and troubleshooting to resolve problems and issues as they develop, ensuring proper level of timely communication to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Prepare weekly client and project status reports
    • Maintain roadmap list of system enhancements
    • Proactively promote feature enhancements to drive revenue
  • Software Development Life Cycle
    • Manage all aspects of software development projects in an Agile environment
    • Serve as Scrum Master or Product Owner on the Agile team
    • Manage project details in Jira/Confluence
    • Participate in daily standup meetings and conduct weekly team meetings
    • Coordinate and manage client sprint reviews and system walkthroughs
    • Prepare release notes and supporting documentation
    • Conduct retrospectives and document lessons learned

Desired Skills & Experience:

This role requires a strength in these core skills:

  • Experience in delivering client-focused custom software solutions based on customer needs. Software Project Management experience is required.
  • Communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-Level audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Manage multiple projects following established processes to deliver against approved estimates for quality, on-time, and on-budget projects
  • Ability to analyze project interdependencies to effectively structure schedules and resources
  • Demonstrated customer management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, including time tracking and billing details
  • Dedication to customer satisfaction and initiative to do what it takes to satisfy the client
  • Super-user or Admin level experience on business support systems (ticketing, scheduling, billing, time-tracking)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong technical background
  • Technical/software project management experience
  • Client management and support experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel Pivot Tables
